Open Positions

Architecture & Design

Four Brothers is a fully integrated design-build firm serving Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Bethesda. Because architecture and construction operate under one roof, our design team stays involved from the first sketch through the final punch list.

For architects and designers looking for long-term growth in the DC market, this role offers far more ownership than a traditional firm. If you’re exploring architect jobs in Washington, DC, this is an opportunity to see your work built exactly as intended.

Architect/Project Designer

We’re seeking self-motivated, passionate architects and project designers with 5–10 years of experience in residential design.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy both creativity and technical execution, and who want to work in a collaborative design-build environment rather than handing drawings off to an outside contractor.

What You Bring

  • 5–10 years of Architecture or Interior Design experience
  • Experience working through all phases of residential projects
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of construction practices and building codes
  • Proficiency in Revit (required)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and hand sketching (a plus)

What You’ll Do

  • Lead projects from initial sale through final punch-out
  • Develop and oversee construction documents
  • Translate client goals into innovative, buildable solutions
  • Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants
  • Supervise and mentor junior design staff
  • Build lasting client relationships

Because we focus on high-end residential renovations and additions, this role is especially appealing to those interested in luxury residential architect jobs, remodeling architect roles, and in-house architect jobs within a design-build firm structure.

If you’re looking for high-end residential design jobs where your ideas are respected and your drawings come to life, we encourage you to apply.

Project Management & Field Leadership

We have immediate openings for experienced Project Managers and Lead Carpenters who thrive in residential remodeling environments.

Our projects include kitchens, baths, additions, basements, and full-scale home renovations, often ranging from $400K to $3M+. If you’re pursuing project manager construction jobs in DC or advancing your career in residential construction management, this is a leadership opportunity within an established, design-focused firm.

Project Manager/Lead Carpenter

We’re looking for hardworking, self-motivated craftsmen and leaders who take pride in both execution and client experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of residential remodeling experience
  • Strong background in kitchens, baths, additions, and basements
  • Ability to perform hands-on work when necessary
  • Confidence reading blueprints and laying out projects from foundation through finish
  • Knowledge of building codes and basic mechanical systems
  • Ability to perform material takeoffs
  • Experience directing employees and coordinating trade partners
  • Reliable transportation and complete inventory of tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

This role blends craftsmanship with leadership. Some candidates join us after searching for lead carpenter jobs in DC and are ready to step into more responsibility. Others come from construction superintendent or remodeling foreman backgrounds and want to work on larger, design-driven residential projects.

If you’re seeking stable construction jobs in Washington, DC with long-term growth potential and high-end clientele, this is an opportunity to lead meaningful work in some of the region’s most desirable neighborhoods.

Entry-Level Field Positions

We’re also hiring Assistant Carpenters who want to build a career in residential remodeling.

If you’ve been searching for assistant carpenter jobs in DC or entry-level construction jobs in Washington, DC, this position offers hands-on experience with experienced lead carpenters on high-end homes throughout DC, Bethesda, and Northern Virginia.

Assistant Carpenter

We’re looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow within a professional remodeling environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in carpentry and home remodeling
  • Prior experience is helpful but not required
  • Desire to learn alongside a Lead Carpenter
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Reliable transportation

Assistant Carpenters gain exposure to demolition, framing, finish carpentry, and project organization, building a foundation for long-term growth in residential carpenter jobs and remodeling careers in the DC Metro area.

Many of our field leaders started in entry-level roles and advanced into lead carpenter, superintendent, and project management positions.

If you’re ready to start building your future in residential construction, we’d love to hear from you.
