Ben Johnson

Team Leader

Ben is the eldest of the eight Johnson children. His childhood was split between a small town in Connecticut, a village in southern England and then high school and college in upstate New York. After graduation, Ben returned to England for a year to work with a team remodeling a castle. He was the first of the Four Brothers to settle in DC. As one of the firm’s principals, Ben focuses on sales and estimating. As Team Leader, he also oversees projects as they transition from design through construction. But don’t be surprised if Ben answers the phone or shows up on-site to handle the punch-out process. Like most of the folks at Four Brothers, he wears more than one hat.

Kent Johnson

Production Manager

Growing up, Kent was the mechanically-inclined Johnson brother. During high school, Kent worked as an apprentice on a large farm. He got a first-class education in all things practical, from fixing farm machinery to milling lumber from the nearby forest. After moving to DC, he studied architecture and founded Four Brothers with his siblings in 2006. Kent manages all of our projects once they move into the production phase. He is our “detail guy” – reviewing plans and material selectionsto ensure they are accurate and complete. Kent visits each job site weekly to support the lead carpenter with any structural or scheduling concerns.

Leroy Johnson

Team Leader

As the fourth child in the Johnson family of eight, Leroy learned to fend for himself early-on. These life skills now enable him to wear many hats at Four Brothers. In his role as a firm principal, Leroy divides his time between sales, estimating and design. He is our expeditor in the early stages of a job, from the home visit to our preliminary estimate and into the planning phase. As a Team Leader, Leroy has oversight of a project from estimate through construction. He specializes in large-scale jobs such as full home remodeling, basement dig-outs and additions.

Austin Lee-Baustert

Lead Carpenter

At Four Brothers, Austin oversees all aspects of the build process: from initial demolition and structural framing to material ordering and job site management. A natural craftsman, Austin enjoys working with his hands and spends much of his free time working on his own home improvement projects.

Adalberto “Chulo” was born in Washington, DC and split his time growing up between the city, Southern Maryland and Prince Georges County. Ever since he can remember, he has enjoyed creating things with his hands and has an innate curiosity to learn. Prior to joining Four Brothers, Chulo worked in several different construction related positions. He particularly enjoys the physical nature of the work and getting to know each of our clients.
